DIY: Using Mothers FX tire Shine

A dull and old looking tyre can easily degrade even the best paint job, rims or brake package (I’ve got a thing for big brakes). Example: This lowered AMG Merc runs a sweet setup from factory, low profile tyres, factory 19s, big brakes and slotted cross drilled rotors. But how ordinary and out of place do those undressed tyres look? The best and easiest way to fix it is by using tyre shine (believe it or not but I’ve seen people use watered-down black paint. Do not do this!) But the chances are if you spray your tyre shine on its going to end up all over the paint work and rims that you’ve just cleaned especially if your running stretched tires and deep dish rims.

So here’s a short DIY on how to properly apply tyre shine using Mothers FX Tire Shine.

Get the Foam applicator included in the pack and apply your tire shine to the pad and then on to the tyre.

Use a little at a time, so you can then put more coats on for the real wet look without it flicking down the sides of the car and all over your clean waxed paint.

The Mother FX Tire Shine has a wet look to it that lasts for weeks and its coating agent helps protect the tyre from UV oxidation, brake dust and road grime.
