Threedogs replied to my post but to a point it was sort of above my understanding. From what I understand so far from the mechanics report is that maybe the problem with the Boost Soleniod as he called it could be causing the problem with the code coming up for the EGR....would that be correct ??

My son is intending to drive up to the Sunshine Coast today from Goodiwindi and I'm a little concerned that something else may go wrong because of the current issues.

Obviously we need to replace the Boost Soleniod because the section of pipe on it where the hose (from the EGR ???) joins to it is split or something. That is how it was explained to me by the mechanic when I talked to him.

Is it difficult to replace the solenoid and also what's the difficulty in installing the blocking plate in the EGR and if this is done what else needs to be done along with installing the plate.

I hope this makes sense in some way.
