This vil be my first post in here..:)
Here we go.
I got me a Patrol GR 2.8TD 97
i just put in an new timing belt. No probs.
But the timing of the pump teases me..?
I got the dial gauge in the pump. OK
I got my Data 0,86mm + - 0,05mm BTDC. (From Autodata)
i got the engine on the marks. OK
Turning the engine backwards. now my problem starts...;)
The gauge is now moving forwards.???
(i did the gauge test before i took it apart. Same problem.. Motor was running.!)
I can seem to figure out why the piston in the pump is going out when i turn the engine backwards.
The pump is on the mark.
Cam is on the mark.
Crank is on the mark.
mabye i am missing something but i seems to be stuck here
But i dont se why there should be any triks to this.
Tomorrow i vil try and take it all apart again. :(
So i would greatly appreciate any help so I can get it right this time.:)
